Job Summary

We are seeking to hire a professional, energetic, and customer-focused Waitron to join our Front-of-House team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent dining experiences by providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to guests while supporting revenue generation through upselling and effective service delivery. This role requires a highly disciplined individual with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Present menus, provide detailed product knowledge, and make recommendations to guests.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests are well communicated.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high presentation standards.
  • Actively upsell and cross-sell menu items to achieve personal and departmental sales targets.
  • Ensure all orders are correctly entered into the system and closed on time.
  • Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction and handle concerns professionally.
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas.
  • Ensure proper handling of payments (cashless transactions)
  • Promote customer engagement and encourage feedback and repeat visits.
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and contribute ideas for service improvement.
  • Uphold professionalism, discipline, and adherence to company policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
  • KCSE Certificate.
  • At least 2 yearS of experience in a similar role in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setup.
  • Experience in handling Hospitality systems.
  • Strong understanding of customer service and hospitality standards.
